Iran Far From Achieving Nuclear Bomb: Former Mossad Chief

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Former Mossad Chief Meir Dagan stated on Monday that a military strike on Iran was "far from being "Israel's" preferred option", Haaretz reported.

 Addressing the Council for Peace and Security, Dagan stated that there are currently tools and methods that are much more effective, further adding that Iran's nuclear program is still far from the point of no return.

 Furthermore, Dagan noted that the Iranian current situation is the most problematic it has been in since the revolution in 1979; however, he warned that "Israel's" strategic situation is also "the worst in its history". He believes that "Israel" by itself has contributed a lot to this deterioration, "Israeli" daily Haaretz added.

 In this context, the former Mossad Chief cited, as an example, Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon's decision to humiliate the Turkish Ambassador last year by seating him on a lower chair.
